Add a hook to the first seconds

Put a short line on screen at the start of the clip so people stop scrolling.

Updated

  1. Open Hook in the editor and make sure Show hook is on.
  2. Write the line (up to 60 characters reads best), or click a suggestion: Auto hook or the clip’s Title.
  3. Set How long it stays (1–8 seconds) or choose Whole clip.
  4. Pick a Look: Card (white rounded card), Pill (in your highlight colour), Accent (dark card with a highlighted key word) or Outline (white text, black outline).

For interviews, the best hook is often the question itself. Klyp places the hook so it covers faces as little as possible.
