Text-based editor

Edit video like a document.

Highlights

  • Cut by deleting words

Select words in the transcript and delete them. Cuts snap to the quietest point so they sound clean.

  • One-click AI edits

Make shorter, new hook, or remove pauses and ums — each one is a normal, undoable edit.

  • Undo everything

Every change goes on the undo stack. Ctrl/Cmd+Z and Shift+Ctrl/Cmd+Z work everywhere.

Text-based editing

The transcript is the timeline.

Every clip opens with its transcript next to the preview. Delete a filler sentence, a false start or a name you do not want published — the video cuts with it, and captions follow automatically.

  • Cuts snap to silence to avoid clicks
  • Deleted words can be restored
  • Captions and effects stay in sync after every cut

Trim and fine-tune

Move the start and end, frame by frame.

Drag the clip edges on the timeline to start earlier or end later — Klyp can reach into the full source video, not just what the AI picked. Pauses and filler words can be tightened in one click.

  • Extend a clip beyond the AI’s cut (clips up to 3 minutes)
  • Remove long pauses and “um”, “uh”
  • “Make shorter” keeps the strongest part of the story

Everything in one place

Captions, layout, hook, effects, post.

Panels next to the preview cover the whole clip: caption style and words, layout and reframe, the on-screen hook, effects and music, and the post text with title, caption and hashtags. The preview updates live.

  • Templates apply a full look in one click
  • Follow, split, fit and center layouts per clip
  • Light, dark and black themes
